What TIX offers

Regione Toscana provides some basic services through TIX 2.0 datacenter for the Institutions belonged to the Rete Telematica Regionale Toscana (RTRT).

Each RTRT's member may require an activation of one or more services at TIX 2.0, by phone or mail by contacting the Helpdesk, which logs the request and forwards it to the office responsible for approval at the Tuscan Region.

The available services provided by Tuscan Region for RTRT's members are:

• first level helpdesk on issues concerning the activities of RTRT;

• assignment of IP addresses (AS6882 only) to the new departments authorized by the Administrative Office of RTRT;

• primary and secondary DNS management (maintenance and update, modifications on demand) to direct and reverse areas (AS6882's IP only);

• Secondary DNS management for all areas (courtesy secondary DNS service);

• Top Level Domain (TLD).it registration and some other TLD country code and TLD global;

• updates on demand regarding the information contained in the information systems of the Registration Authority (RIPE, EuRID, IT-NIC, ...);

• hosting (on shared resources) of simple Websites and e-mail boxes for small public offices.
