The tender for "TRANSMISSION SERVICES INFRASTRUCTURE AND RELATED
MANAGEMENT OF THE TUSCAN REGIONAL TELEMATICS NETWORK (RTRT NETWORK)
was awarded to Telecom Italia Spa.
What
is the TIX?
The TIX is a service agreement between the Tuscany Region and the
temporary business syndicate (RTI) comprising: Telecom
Italia Spa (group leader), Getronics Spa, and Brain Technology Spa,
which was awarded the tender for the creation and management of an
Internet Exchange Point between the RTRT network and private-sector
ISPs, as well as a Service Centre for the Tuscany Region and its territory.
The
contract runs for a term of 5 years, renewable for a further 3 years.

I
am interested in information on the RTRT network rates of Telecom

sales liaison officers for Telecom Italia.
I am having problems hooking up to the network. What
should I do?
First of all, check whether your router is switched on or off - if
it is switched on, reboot by switching off and then on again. If
the connection is not restored, contact the staff at the TIX to notify
the problem and have it resolved.
What
connection types exist for the RTRT network?
Essentially, there are three different ways to connect to the RTRT
network: by
dial-up or ISDN connection; by
broadband connection (at specific RTRT network rates); via
a TIX-accredited Internet provider.
How
can I request connection to the RTRT network?
Once you have applied for the connection and received authorisation,
you need to send a copy of the application form to your ISP, the Tuscany
Region, and to the TIX (download
the application form; RTF
format, 15 kB).
The
updated pages of my web site, hosted on the TIX, are not displayed.
Why
is this?
The most likely reason is that you have not correctly updated the
pages, or they have not been placed in the correct server directory.
Otherwise,

I
cannot view the Telemaco home page. Why
is this?
Telemaco (ex Jorba) is the web-based consultation service for the
Infocamere databases. This
service enables you to view Chamber of Commerce listings and search
information on the companies listed. As
with all services provided by third parties over the extended RTRT
network, access is restricted to RTRT network participants, through
the use of their class 159.213.x.x IP address or through an accredited
ISP.

If the test proves your IP address to be correct, then the problem
most probably lies in the configuration of your router. If
you have direct access to the RTRT network, contact the staff of the
TIX. If you access the network through an accredited ISP, contact
your provider to check the configuration of the VPN for the services
reserved to RTRT network participants.
When
I try to link up to the Telemaco service, the server tells me my password
has expired. What
should I do?
Your
password for the service expires after two months of non-use. To
obtain a new password, re-complete the application form on the web
page http://www.rete.toscana.it/infocamere.htm
I
am having problems downloading my e-mails. What should I do?
Contact the staff at the TIX by telephone. With
your support, they will diagnose the problem and provide you with
the solution.
